The Remarkable Power of Harnessing Your Focus
If you have goals and dreams still lying high upon dusty shelves in your heart, then get ready to dust them off and reach every one of them with as the power of focus is realized in your life.
So get out a pen and pad of paper and make your list of goals (careful not too many at once). Be sure to make each goal very specific, if your goal is to lose weight, how much weight do you plan to lose? How long do you plan to give yourself to reach your goal-weight?, (make sure your goal-weight is realistic for your body-type and age), what do you plan to do to move consistently toward your goal-weight? If your goal is a new career, be specific about it.
Now, write down the definitions above for the words, Remarkable, Power, Harnessing, and Focus” and keep this pad close-by. Each morning, read your goals-list along with the definitions, this will serve to keep your mind renewed to the commitment you have made to change your life one day at a time.
You are not going to see a miraculous life-change in the first week, perhaps you won’t be blown away the first month, I can tell you this without a doubt, if you are consistent on following through with your list and the daily renewing of your mind, then little by little and day by day, your life is going to change until you barely recognize yourself!
When the captain of a huge ocean-liner decides to turn the big ship around, he turns the stern as hard as he can and holds it; at first, to the untrained eye, it appears the ship is continuing down the same old course, however, knot-by-knot, the ship is making is enormous turn. A novis may say, “What’s the use, I may as well give up, this thing is too big to turn around”, but the experienced captain knows eventually that ship can be turned around and taken in the opposite direction, it just takes time and patience.
You have been traveling in an un-focused manner on lifes sea for a very long time, but you can and you will turn it all around if you are willing to chart the waters and Hold the Course!!!

Excellent points made. I usually will exercise before I start to dive into something important. It gives my brain a huge boost of energy.

Thank you for an excellant article. I will take these points to heart. Maybe, I am trying to do too much at one time. I have completed a children’s book and I am trying hard to have it published. I continue to hit road-blocks. I research and write other articles and stories, try to be a good Triond friend, ballroom dance and in the mist of all this I work and try to have time with my husband and family. I think I will work just on the book for a while. Thank you for your comments on my work. I also add you as a friend. I would love for you to read my other articles. My first ones are for mid-grade children with a few poems. Would love to know what you think. What is your book about and when will it be published? Did you self publish? I am looking into that myself. Always nice to have a new friend.
Take care, Pam

very useful advise.. focus has been a problem for me because I try to be efficient and tends to multitask most of the time.. another problem I have is that I try to please everybody.. I get things done but afterwards you`re so stressed you can`t enjoy the fruits.. thanks for the share

Creative, informative piece. I remember an old saying I once read many years ago which goes: “They who travel many roads go nowhere.” I still follow that saying and travel only one road at a time until I’ve reached my destination, or goal.
