The Secret Formula to Success

During the peak of the global financial crisis in 2009, most people have lost their hopes when asked about their financial future. Nobody can blame them because that crisis was really serious. It crawled its way around the globe and all of us were affected in some way or another. When an economic crisis hit us, we should not allow pessimism to rule us. Instead, we should rise up from the dust and we should face it with a positive attitude. And the best way to combat this negativity is get inspiration from successful people.  Yes, there is an opportunity even in times of crisis; it is just a matter of finding it and believing on such. All successful people all went through a roller coaster ride before they finally got hold of their richness. And during their troubled times, they never gave up, they simply went on, they pursued on what they believed in, they engaged on passions that they are good at and they faced their predicaments with a positive heart.

I have plenty of opportunities to talk with successful personalities in the business arena. When asked what their get-rich formula was, they will always answer “NONE”. For them, there is nothing mysterious about becoming rich. It only seems to be secrets but the get-rich formula is actually scattered around us. Some of us already know how to crack the code but we don’t do anything to make it happen.

I profiled below some of the so-called “secrets” of multi-millionaires. I hope it will help all of us in bringing back the flame of success inside us.

1. Successful people made the decision to be successful. To achieve success requires a change in mindset and attitude. You must let go of your self-doubt and start believing in yourself. Lack of self-confidence hinders an individual from achieving their dreams. Do not be afraid to find and seize an opportunity. Grab chances while they are there but also know when it is time to step on the breaks.

2. Successful people continuously educate themselves. Successful people never stop learning. They read, do research and consult experts in their industry. Their brains are always searching for new ideas, new businesses and new markets. Their eyes are keenly open to new things. Aside from formal education, they continuously keep abreast of what’s happening in their respective industry by attending seminars, workshops and forums.

3. Successful people are risk takers. They are not afraid to fail and they are not discouraged by obstacles. Risk is present in all our decisions but successful people know how to minimize or manage risks by planning their strategies very well and executing it as accurate as possible.

4. Successful people enjoy and love what they do. They pursue something that interest them and they are passionate about it. They also do what they are good at and always aim to be the best at it. Successful individuals always strive to be the best in their field because they love what they are doing.

5. Successful people are people-oriented individuals. Successful individuals work well with people. They know how to nurture their contacts, never look down on other people, and respect the people they work with. They believe that the people around them are the same people that will help them in building or maintaining their success.

6. And finally, successful people are not wealth-hoarders. They never forget where they came from and they know how to give back some of their blessings. Looking back at their humble beginnings also keep successful people grounded/humbled.
