The Values We Need

Reflecting the values of military life.

The other two do relate to life outside ROTC, but to commit this much as to say you want excellence in all you do is something that will stay with you for as long as you believe in the values you learned in ROTC. To achieve this is not an easy task and it is a constant reminder in the back of your head telling you to give a hundred percent at any and everything you do, which isn’t an easy task to complete.

It is harder than any test you will take in school and any exam to qualify for college. It is proving to yourself you can give the one hundred percent necessary to succeed. To be excellent is a task that some leaders can never live up too, but the ones who do become some of the strongest people in the world, whether they be leaders in the military or just regular people off the street. Some of the most powerful leaders have come from us following the blame.

The corps values help us in many ways and assist our cadets in learning things like loyalty and honor. Finding these morals is hard, but teaching them to a new team of cadets every year is what makes this entire corps work. After everything else is gone these values and morals are the ones that will stay with us for the rest of our lives, no matter if we try and forget them or not. They will always be here when we need them. Integrity first will be here for when you don’t know whether or not to do the right thing, service before self will be there for when someone else needs you and you want to do something and have to choose which is more important to you, and excellence in all we do is one value I never see going away. For when the worst comes around we will all give all we have to help.

The cadets of AFJROTC follow these values because we know they hold our future’s in them. It is important to be loyal and above all else strong of character. These values in ROTC help us to purely help and accelerate our lives and career’s into the future of helping and supporting the armed forces. For that is one of my main goals in life, to help our great country with the wars and with everything else.

These values can help us do that by giving us the strength to help other people. Helping others is a great responsibility and is not a simple task to complete, but with the values I have learned fro ROTC, it has made it easier to follow these values. Integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. This is the code in which all ROTC cadets must follow. It helps us now and in the future.
