Time is a Precious Concept
Time is an intangible and yet precious thing. Time is a precious concept that we all can use wisely.
Time is a precious concept. Like we all know it waits for no one. But we do wait for time. This is when we wait for a certain event or future happening. Time is one of things that is bigger than ourselves and is not governed by man. This means that we have to live according to the dictates of time. Time is a concept, a way that we measure periods of existence as such existence lasts into the future. Time is of essence when things are urgent. When things seem long overdue others might say “it’s about time”. What else can we say about time? Time is money and that time flies. Yet when we are at liberty to do anything at any particular moment we can say that we have free time. Having nothing to do is like having time on our hands. Finally, when we do trivial things that do little or no good others can say that we are wasting time. Just think; the wasting of anything is not good at all. The environment is suffering partly because of the waste and neglect of society. When we show neglect and a wasteful attitude, which involves our concepts, we also suffer. Waste not want not should be ones attitude about time. The truth of these phrases is of importance to us all.
How can we use the most of our time we have in life? That is a rather ambiguous term, our time, as if time could be owned or possessed. The concept of time is precious because we are alive to conceive it and to do as much good in contributing to the enjoyment of the lives of others and that of ourselves. When we die our time runs out and this precious concept seems all the more precious just before we die. The concept of time also can take on more precious meaning for those who know of the death of another person. This behooves us to use the time we have wisely and generously. Although because of our differences none of us use time exactly the same, and that is what makes time all the more precious. Each of us can express ourselves as individuals and enjoy the differences amongst us. But how can we make the most of our time?
To make the most of time takes some discipline and organization. To manage time we need to set goals, short term and long. It would be advantageous to write, record, or type your goals so that you can refer to them often. Your time sensitive goals can be kept in a safe place or posted (if in printed form) at home where they can be readily seen. The goals you set may involve a schedule that will help you work toward them step by step. Allow space for making notes for all your goals (not that there will be many goals at any given time). These notations may entail what you had accomplished at a particular time, the difficulties that you may have faced, and unforeseen benefits you may have discovered, amongst other things.
