its true that youths are with their degrading value . but give me a break ! all youths are not . I am a teen of 15 but i know my limits ,. so better to not blame a single youth or parents . outer surrounding, their buddies , their neigbours, relatives all have influence on youth.

I'm old fashioned. I remember not having a TV. I remember peace and quiet, painting, day-dreaming, walking, playing with friends, knitting, sewing, making things, playing ludo and snakes and ladders, reading quiz books, cooking for my mum and dad, cleaning the house. studying.

I remember when people, adults AND children, spoke English using proper words because they were well educated and didn't need to use expletives 5 times in one short sentence because they were too thick or lazy to think of a word which would describe what they were trying to convey.

I remember when swearing was shocking and people complained about it. I remember when children sat quietly at school and LEARNED and didn't have ADHD.

I remember when parents said "No, it's far too late, time for bed," and meant it.

I remember when children knew who to look to for guidance, rules, boundaries and good example instead of looking to TV/girls magazines/celebrities.

I remember when children weren't treated like mini gods and goddesses, but as ordinary mortals from whom some sense of community responsibility was required.

Kids today think they know everything because they heard or saw it on TV so it must be true and not only true - it must be true for EVERYONE! They're bored by adults who take life a little slower, who think for themselves and who DARE to challenge the media because they have the foresight to see where it's leading the next generation and the one after that.

Yep! I'm glad I'm old fashioned, am discerning, wise and everything else that's unfashionable today.

Often the kids who deal drugs seldom have a stable home life, suffice it to say. If they can't go back to a parent who cares about them then theres no one to stop them. And even if a parent asks about the going ons in his or hers childs life that doesn't garantee that the child will truthfully answer.

Parents also grow impatient and are detered by their childs determination to act against what they are told to do. Theres also the fact that parents cannot physically prevent a child from running away and then doing what they please without going to extreme extents to retreive the child (if he or she is that keen on remaining away from home). The only real solution to that sort of thing would be some sort of counciling and maybe that family hasn't got the money for professional councilling. Further more, if that family is spending most of their time trying to make ends meet somehow then its probably not frequent that they have spare time to search for a free guide for their child and even further more if they find a guide or some sort of aid then there isnt a garantee that the kid will go.

Its easy to disobey someone if everythings already been taken away from you and you're not being punished for going against the rules.
