We Manifest Our Own Evil
Describes our role and even how we seek the evils in our lives.
Is it out nature to manifest evil? The first time I thought about this was after watching The Village. These people isolated themselves from society to keep themselves from the evils of the world and yet they manifested it themselves within their colony. Adam and Eve are the first examples. In a beautiful Eden and garden of tranquility and purity they fell into the rabbit hole. We often are placed in a peaceful situation in our lives where we can be complacent and happy yet we are on the look out for the bad to come. You know the saying “it’s too good to be true, something bad is bound to come my way”. We get ourselves into dangerous situations whether they are emotional or tangible. It is like the thrill of seeing a scary movie, we anticipate that disturbance in our minds and souls, sitting on the edge of our seats waiting for it. It’s a well known saying that good girls like bad boys, this only furthers my point. A woman may know that a man is trouble (or vias versa), that they have years of baggage, that they are players, that they have multiple babies mamas(who are often crazy) and yet they still get involved.
So my question again-is it human nature to seek out trouble and make their own evils? In the film 28 Days Later. The people sought out a safe haven from the infected around them and yet again the evil came from within themselves. You might be saying this is just a film so it’s a fictional and poor example. However, look at the realities around us.We are the moth to the flame. We are hungry for the drama. To be placed in the middle of the “he said, she said game”. To the gossip of those around us. We know the risks of motorcycles,of sky diving, of zip lining, and roller coasters but we stand in lines for the excitement. We know that we will yell our heads off while on a roller coaster, that we will be thinking “I’m going to die” and yet we seek it. This is a wonderful example of the roller coaster ride we live our lives in. We know that one of our friends is a bad influence, that our lovers are bringing us down yet we cannot pry ourselves from it.
And we even try to put it on someone else. We don’t take responsibility for our role within the manifestation. Just as Adam blamed God for giving him “the woman” to tempt him into biting into that delectable fruit of knowledge. We bite into this fruit daily and anticipate the after effects.
