When Life Knocks You Down Get Back Up
An article encouraging people never to give up no matter how bad things look.
I know that there are many accounts that can be told about life’s struggles. I think this is one of those times in the history of the world, that the stories are probably more depressing than other times. Many have stories of economic trials which range from losing homes to jobs. If we focus on these things they can certainly be depressing. However, the encouragement to never give up may seem to some an impractical and unrealistic attitude. It sure beats the alternative though.
Apart from the financial problems there’s always the story of betrayal in relationships. At present I am learning that putting your trust in people can be very disappointing to say the least. Years of yeoman’s service and loyalty mean nothing to some. They rather trust the person who can make them unrealistic promises and are unable to fulfill them, than someone who’s been tried and true over the years. Be careful God is the only one we can trust completely. No matter how defeated you might feel and betrayed don’t dwell on that. Get up dust yourself and continue. However, it’s not all doom and gloom. Everyone’s not all bad. There are still the remnant few who will stand by you until the end.
Continue to make plans despite the economic, psychological and emotional environment. If you have nothing to look forward to, then you’re going to stay longer in the economical wilderness than you want to. Make no mistake this is not going to be an easy task by any stretch of the imagination. Nevertheless, it’s worth making the effort over sinking and wallowing in self pity. Broaden your horizons, change your focus, don’t get stuck in a rut. If you have been trained in a certain field and there are no available positions consider re-training, or using those untapped resources that have been laying dormant all these years.
I believe there are very few problems that are unsolvable. Sometimes the answers are closer than we think, but the problem and the nay sayers and the other background noise make the solution seem inaccessible. With emotional and financial support take the steps necessary to become and overcomer, not a victim. The one you choose will determine the outcome.
