When the Going Gets Tough
Overcoming obstacles. Isn’t that what we try to do everyday? I am here sharing a source of my strength in bad times.
Life has two faces-good & bad; for most of unfortunate us, the bad times weigh more than the good ones. So, what is it that we do to get over them? Each one of us has our own way. Some cry, some laugh, some forget, some hold on, some dance, some work, some pray & the life goes on. But, not for everyone. Some, just cannot take it & find it best to end the journey & hence the pain. But, isn’t that a sin?
The answer is yes! It is a sin to take your life. But, it is also a sin to suffer. The key is to overcome. But the million dollar question is, HOW?
When a person is deceived by a situation in life, he/she often involves in sadness, pessimism, a preoccupation with personal problems, and perhaps feeling sorry for one’s self, anguish, crying, and hopelessness. They may also loose interest in social life because of loss of enthusiasm for their usual activities. Such a condition often triggers use of mild sedatives like alcohol, smoke, tranquilizers and later drugs!
If you are the one going through this anguish, no one but only you can help yourself! A strong will power can change the course of time. Fighting against your own self can be the most difficult thing to do but not impossible. At such a time, you must not hesitate to take your family & friends’ support. Always remember, no matter what goes wrong, your loved ones are always there for you. And if you think you are not privileged enough, then simply close your eyes & remember God. An instant calmness is what you will experience. He is the one who is there, who is watching & who is testing us. How else will we learn to face the world? How else will we be strong?
For me, He has been the source of immense strength. And even after going through a lot of bad times, He is the reason for my sanity & existence.
