Why Vegan Wieners are Better Than Meat Frankfurters
If you care about what you eat and what journeys down your digestive tract you will agree with this article.
Children will eat anything as long as it tastes good. They do not have the ability or the inclination to investigate the food on their plates. Is this any reason for feeding them crap? In the UK school meals are cheaper than manure and that is not because they are subsidized – it is because children will eat anything and their parents and carers are not sufficiently vigilant.
Yum yum pig’s bum
Apple pie and chewing gum
Take the humble Frankfurter (or any other sausage for that matter). It is jam packed with the cheapest meat available. Often mechanically recovered from the abattoir floor. This piece of cuisine (to use the term completely incorrectly) will contain all the bits of meat (animal flesh and body parts) which you can’t but in the shops. Pig’s anus and back passage – swished to remove any of the feces there when it was slaughtered.
The vegan wiener contains none of that rubbish and its manufacture entailed no cruelty or tails. That’s what the vegan wiener is superior to the meat Frankfurter. The only thing the vegan variety has with the meaty one is that kids love them.

We have recently started on a vegetarian diet and have tried the vegan weiners. As long as they were hot they were ok, but once they got cold they were not that great. My husband now refuses to buy them so hot dogs are no longer on our list of things to eat.

@meandu – normally our office would say: don’t let your husband dictate what you eat but if he stops you buying and eating absolute crap then perhaps in this instance it is acceptable… but only just.

I agree, I’m vegetarian so I eat vegan wieners.

Compelling information. I just don’t know if I could live without meat!
