Words: True Nourishment for the Body, Mind & Spirit
Just as food is nourishment to the body, we need to realize that words are nourishment to the mind and emotions. When your body hears certain things, it naturally responds. If it feels like it’s in danger certain chemicals are released and you feel nervous, anxious, etc. If something stimulates a feeling of serenity, accordingly, your muscles relax and you feel at peace.

I’m a true believer that words and thoughts are infinitely powerful. In fact, studies have even repeatedly shown that people with positive outlooks on life tend to stay healthier and happier throughout their lives.
It’s undeniable that words have strong meanings and can change our moods much more than most people realize. For example, some times people go home with a headache not understanding why. But, if one were to slowly reenact that person’s day, it would be easy to connect the dots and discover how that came about. 1+1 = 2. Danger = tense muscles, etc. Doctors are even starting to catch on to the power of words these days doling out prescriptions coupled with advice to repeat words like, “I’m getting better everyday.” And, “My body is healing itself.” These doctors know what they’re doing.
So, if you often find negative thoughts running through your mind because of how you were raised, the people you work around and for any other reason, don’t worry. You can learn to block that negativity out. To combat this, you can learn to play a positive “mental tape” in your mind all day long.
Furthermore, because words are nourishment to our bodies and mental state, instead of offering junk food to another person today, why not offer them a compliment a day? For an incentive: realize that whatever you give another person comes back to you in some form or another. For the altruistic: when you do compliment another person you will see how it will literally transform your relationship with them. You may or may not see it at first, but often it will dramatically change the totality of that person’s life. Because whatever love and support we receive, we’re able to give to another person. While the person you complimented may not give your kindness back to you to you at all, they may give it back to someone who will pass it on to another who will continue the ball rolling. And, you never know if one day one of those people will meet someone you love and treat them better because of what you did. Keep this in mind for every person you meet throughout your life.
“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
-Mahatma Gandi
Currently, the new book I’m reading is called “Think Big & Kick Ass” by Donald Trump; funny title, extraordinary message. His no frills, practical yet surprisingly humanistic approach to success gives me a clear picture as to why he’s so incredibly wealthy.
Words are truly powerful and really do transform your mind and well-being, so please enjoy the following amazing passages from it:
“What you dream about is what you will do.”
You attract into your life what you think about the most. This is true for every aspect of your life. If you want true love, you must think about loyalty, happiness, etc. If you want financial freedom you must explore ways to make this come true. You must think about how you will feel when you reach that level of success, where you will be, what you will be doing, and who will be there.
“It does not cost anything to dream. Spend your time enjoying your big dreams.”
Dream, talk, and write down every detail of your dreams. Tell friends and loved ones who believe and support you about them. Make them physical on paper. These are crucial steps toward making them physical and materializing them in real life!
“What you do today will produce results tomorrow. If you want to keep the good times rolling, you have to keep on planting those seeds everyday!”
In other words, keep writing everyday! Every comment you leave, every article you write, every link you add, adds up in the long run and becomes a cumulative progressive path you’re creating toward the pot of gold at the end of your rainbow!
“Learn to trust your gut.”
When you do, you save yourself a great deal of time. Often people have an initial gut reaction, but choose to ignore it only to spend months or years mulling it over and finally ending up with the same conclusion. Don’t let that happen to you. Know that your instincts are there for a reason; to keep you safe and focused on your journey toward making all your dreams come true.
If you feel the need to mull something over because, of course, sometimes our instincts do need refinement due to lack of knowledge or misinterpretation of a circumstance, give yourself a reasonable amount of time to think it over and then if nothing has changed, give yourself the ability to move on without regret. Give everything you’ve got, heart and soul. If something’s meant to be in your life it will be. If it slips away easily it was never yours to begin with.

Good article! I agree with the positive thinking thing. Very important, no matter what it is you do in life. I’m not sure if I would choose Mr. Trump as my feel-good guru
, but it is a well written piece, as usual.
