You are in Charge of Your Choices

Perhaps when you were young, you weren’t completely in charge of your choices. You had parents, relatives and teachers who made your choices for you, but all of that changed as you grew into adulthood. I’ll bet there have been times in your life that you wished someone could still do that for you. As you grow older, the choices become harder and harder.

You chose what you have or don’t have in your life

Again, you begin choosing the minute you wake up in the morning.  It is your choice to be in a good mood or bad mood.  Try it.  On one morning when you awaken, choose to be in a good mood.  The next morning, choose to be in a bad mood.  This will be your proof that choices are yours alone.  Of course, there are things that can happen throughout the day that may change your mood.  But again, it is your choice as to whether or not you stay in that mood.  Stop and take a few deep breaths and decide to change your mood.  It takes some practice, but you can learn to do it.  You’ll find that things come a little easier to you when you’re in a good mood and that’s because your thinking is more positive.  When you’re in a more negative state of mind, a bad mood if you will, you will draw more negative things to you.  Why would anyone want to do that, intentionally?  I don’t think anyone really wants to.  We just get caught up in the moment.  Change that moment and see how the rest of your day goes.

Your Self Esteem Affects Your Choices

Yes. Your self esteem does affect your choices.  If your self esteem is low, you sometimes feel your not worthy of a good life.  So you decide to choose something less than what you really want.  Why do we do this to ourselves?  We’re all worthy of having the best life available to us.  We’re all creatures of God, so why is it felt that some of us are more worthy than others.  This just isn’t so.  Know that you deserve the best life that you can possibly have.  Keep this in your mind and it will happen.

You Can’t Control Other People’s Choices

You’re not responsible for other people’s lives or their choices.  You only have control over yourself and what you do.  You can’t control other people, even though some people think they can.  These people just end up being miserable.  The only thing you can do is to help others see that they always have choices and they make these choices themselves.

Exactly, how do you live with the choices you’ve made?  It’s not easy.  You just learn to go with the flow and try to make better choices in the future.  Learn to listen to your higher self when making choices.  Your higher self will never steer you wrong.
