You Can Always Lift Your Spirits
The strength inside your spirit is limitless. No one can hold you down, but you.

How do you work past negative energy? How do you stand strong and not let other peoples’ critical words not weigh you down?
Everyday we encounter challenges to our psyches, minds and spirits. We need to work hard to combat these obstacles, to keep our minds fresh and unfettered no matter what comes our way. How do we do this? How do you do this?
More and more I have been eliminating everything and anything from my life that makes me feel bad for even a moment; everything from food items, television shows, and even people who have unnecessarily lowered my spirits. Yes, we all make mistakes, but in the overall picture of life, there is enough that a person must go through alone during a single day that the hardships of another who does not have our very best interests in mind can be damaging and harmful to our spirits and well being.
I believe everything in important and the more you surround yourself with people and things that are in harmony with your spirit, the better you will feel any given time of the day. Our energy is our life force. It propels us to grow and thrive and believe in ourselves, our dreams and all the limitless possibilities in our futures. Do not ever let anyone cast a shadow on your path. You can always “flip” their negative words and make them positive.
For example, if a critic leaves a comment on your article that is not kind and without a positive intent, you can think to yourself that they are taking the time out of their day to give attention to your work. They must find something about your writing worth their time and energy. After all, if they didn’t why would they leave a comment at all? Always, “flip” any potential negative into a positive.
Just think about teenagers who tell their parents they hate them when they are simply trying to enforce household rules. Teenagers do not have enough self-confidence to ask their parents or thank them for the love they are giving them at the moment, so all they can say is something negative. Words are powerful and yet, their power lies in our interpretation of them. When we change a potential negative meaning into a positive one, our spirits are lifted and we are so much the wiser and better for it all.
Take care of yourself and each other; my best blessings to all.

This was a really good article. This would be a great way at looking at negative things.

These are some excellent tips. There are some things and people that you simply can not eliminate from your life (like close family members). But then your second part of the article addresses this, too. Turn the negative into a positive. Good words for further thought.
