Your Destiny is in Your Hands

People everyday travel from place to place, how do they get where they’re going? They are given directions from point A to point B. when we came into this world we had a destiny, although we were unaware of it, yet there is one who not only knows our destiny but actually know what it will take to get us there. Jer. 29:11 God says “For I know the thoughts that I have toward you says the Lord, thoughts of peace not of evil, to give you a successful end (life).

God say He has a plan for our lives, how many of us have a plan for our lives our future? During our youth we were trained to think, we were given special tools in math, reading writing and language these tools were to be the instruments to carry us on life’s journey they in no way gave us the direction on how to get to our destiny. Just like a carpenter going from one job site to another, he must have his tools to get the job done. If he should get lost on the way to the site, do the tools become useless? No, never because those tools can be used at any given time anywhere, its up to the carpenter.

We have always had the tools to reach our destiny, God put those tools in us, they are called CHOICE, DESIRE and COURAGE, and as long as we have these tools nothing is impossible to us. In order for a carpenter to do a good professional job he must maintain his tools he must keep them clean, sharp and he must always have the main tools to get him started. We too must  have the main tools to get us started, lets look at our tools.

1. Desire: a desire is a driving force deep within our souls; it is a passion to conquer, to obtain a specific thing or goal. What is your driving force, what is your goal? The good thing about desire is it’s flexibility, say a person looses his/her desire for something, they can get it back at any time it may or may not be strong as before but they can get it back.
2. Choice: this tool was also given to us by God, it is what makes Him justified in His judgments and allow Him to have no respect of person. God will set the plan that He has for our lives in motion but He will not make us follow them that up to us, its our choice. It is also our choice whether are not we use the tools that are on the inside of us like reasoning the ability to weigh out the matter before going into it, in. Luke 14:28; it says” For which of you, intending to build a tower, sit not down first and count the cost whether he have enough to finish the job. Everything we do is built on the choices we make,. Wrong choices will get us off course and sometimes take us so far off, it is almost hard to get back on track. Yet we can always recover from bad choices by changing the way we think. Always take time to analyze every decision to see the possible out come of your choices, and take time to pray and ask God for wisdom for every area of your life, even the smallest detail.
3. Courage is what God give us to meet the challenges that life brings on, when we feel like giving up we have the courage and the desire to go on. He does not want us second guessing ourselves we must see ourselves  as victorious not victims. The Bible says in 2Tim 1:7 “For God have not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind”. So what are you working with? You have everything you need already inside of you to reach your destiny, its never to late unless your dead.
