Your Path is Filled with Happiness
Joy, beauty and richness is with you every step of the way.

Focus is important toward your path of happiness, success, and joy in life, however, if you have other interests that catch your attention, this too is okay and will add to the enjoyment and richness of your life. For example, many celebrities began with one form of art that led to their fame. Some started as singers and others as actors. Then as their career in that field took off, they decided to try other things like creating their own clothing lines, writing a book or even a movie. Always remember that there are no limits.
One of my favorite movies is “Forrest Gump”. I love it for the simplistic theme it is trying to convey: that of a simple man who goes through his life, unchanged by his environment and material possessions and makes decisions based off what will make him happiest. He is not seeking happiness for that already lies in his heart and because of this happiness, true friends, and true love are his rewards.
Like a child, he does not over analyze a situation. Instead, if he wants to do something, he just does it. He begins to play table tennis by himself because he wants something to do while he is in the army. He plays so much that he becomes an expert at it.
It wasn’t that Forest was any more special or talented than anyone else, he just followed a simple formula:
- Take action on something that interests you.
- Practice the action as much as possible.
- Share or do not be afraid to share it with others.
The best lesson I learned from this movie is that life is full of open doors and opportunities that await us. We simply need to keep our minds fresh and clear of distractions so that we are focused on the moment and can confidently walk through all and any door that suits our attention and interests. We need to not place so much weight on whether we are doing it right according to someone else’s standards, but on whether we are doing it the way that feels most in sync and in tune with who we are as individuals. When we stay true to our internal voice, we change the world by allowing others to feel safe enough to reveal and trust their own inner spirits and inner child.
Learn from everything in your environment. Everyday is a new day to start anew, refresh and bring a greater depth of joy, richness and beauty to your life and the life of others.
Blessings to all.

This was a particularly good article because it pointed out the obvious, which is not always easy to see. Thank you for that, Liane. I loved this movie too!

I agree with them both. It also reminds me of my favorite book, “Stella Luna,” a bat who was adopted by birds and found no peace until she decided to stop trying to be a bird and start being the bat that she was.
It IS tough trying to be somebody that you’re not. Thanks for reminding us, Liane. I should go back to work now

Dear Lucy,
Your comment is truly appreciated and a blessing. You are very right. It is interesting how sometimes something can be so apparent and yet for some reason it takes us time to see it.
My very best wishes.
Sincerely,
-Liane Schmidt.
