Your Right to be Well

I give thanks that I have perfect health of mind and body. perfect vision, perfect hearing, perfect circulation, assimilation and elimination in all the functions of my body. in all my blood vessels; in my head, my throat, my lungs, my digestive, and my generative organs. in my bones, my nails, my muscles, my nerves and my glands with perfect lubrication at all joints, and it is so.

People conduct their life so poorly, because they have not be taught how to grow fully rounded maturity, and it is in trying to meet adult problems with childish reactions that we generate emotional stress. Maturity is not a matter of being crammed full of technical or classical knowledge. Maturity is essentially a collection of attitudes, attitudes that are more effective and helpful to the individual in meeting situations, than are the attitudes a small child might have in the same situations. An attitude is an established way of reacting to certain classes of experience and if maturity is essentially a collection of attitudes, what are the most desirable ones to assist us in our efforts to be well at all times? Whatever happens, whatever situation arises as the day goes along, the moment you remember to sustain calm and cheerful attitude you stop the thinking that generates the stress of emotions of irritation, fear, anxiety, frustration and resentment, and start to train of thought that will generate health. Adopt and cultivate the attitude of speaking cheerfully and finding something to praise.

I think the most important attitude is the attitude of gratitude. The whole process of mental adjustment can be summed in the one word gratitude. First you recognize and intellectually accept that there is but one intellectual substance from which all things are made. Secondly you realize that unless perfect health was already inherent in your body system, there would be no possibility of your ever attaining it, and then, you relate yourself to it with a feeling of profound gratitude. You are a truly wonderful being and cannot possibly be too grateful for all the goodness bestows upon you, by the creative impulse.

Lastly, The more gratefully you focus your attention on the supreme source from which all good comes; the more good you will receive, because the mental attitude of gratitude puts you in close touch with the source.
