The Male Mind and How It Responds to Suggestion
Certain words can certainly trigger a response from me.
I consider my self to be a devoted husband and a good father. I am also proud of my values and how I teach them to my children as well as my faith and how that is taught. That’s why I find it so funny that key words (suggestions) can still enter my mind and tempt me; pique my curiosity, so to speak. I know this is true for most if not all.
Imagine, you’re seeing titles or headlines and you come across words such as naked, nude, sexy, hot. You’ll take a look won’t you? Does that make you bad? I say not, it makes you human. It’s all a clever marketing strategy, just like placing candy at eye level for children in the grocery stores. It’s going to get your interest and make you either read or open the article to take a look.
On the internet, we get bombarded by pop-ups and such, that we know we have to close them out. It’s not what we’re looking for, but while we’re searching the internet or in this case, Triond, if we stumble across that one word, we’re hooked. Women have often and will often call us men dogs because of it, but the true reason we’re called dogs is because like dogs, we become trained to respond a certain way.
In closing, the point that is being made here is that men respond as a human should, with curiosity. When you cross lines, perhaps to use the word deviate or become a deviant, then there’s an issue. However, your mind is a gift and imagination is wrapping paper for the gift. Use it and as the expression goes, don’t abuse it.
