What His Room Says

Have you ever wondered what a guy’s room says about the kind of person he is?

You can tell a lot about a guy from other clues that have nothing to do with the person himself. If you’ve been to his room, there’s a lot you can tell right off the bat.

When you walk into his apartment and you see his bed unmade, with his clothes piled haphazardly on a nearby chair, then he might be a mama’s boy. When he was younger, there may have been a maid there to clean up after him or his mom did it. Being neat as a pin doesn’t matter that much to him and you can expect him to be laid back. On the other hand, if everything is neat, he’s probably a neat freak. He might not like you touching his things or have the upper hand in the relationship.

If you find out “accidentally” that when he had roommates he was messy like a pig, never washed the dishes and didn’t clean up after his guests that stayed over, but when you walk into his apartment he asks you to remove your shoes, then you can almost be sure that he’ll depend on you to clean up after him after you move in together.

There’s a plant by the windowsill. Good news! It’s not a pet or a child, but at least he’s nurturing and willing to care for something else other than himself.

If he color codes everything and puts everything into neat separate piles, watch out! If you help put away his stuff, he’ll expect you to watch carefully and organize them into the same piles as he does. He might be neurotic and a lot dominating.

If he hoards everything from the past, including his first finger painting from kindergarten, you’ve got a sentimental guy. Nostalgic is probably more like it. He has a hard time letting go. That could be good, but then, be careful he’s not still pining after an ex.

These are just a few examples of what you can tell by looking at a guy’s room. Good luck! (I know you won’t need it. ^_^)
