Why a Man Does What He Does

From the most powerful men to the everyday working man we all do things that confuse the opposite sex. Bill Clinton, O.J Simpson, Charlie Sheen and the list goes on but all men struggle within themselves. It seems like half the time we don’t know what we are doing but is this really an excuse or simply the make-up of men? Well it could be both, most women share certain traits in common and it is no different for men. The say there is an exception to every rule but there are certain characteristics’ that all men share.

One thing that all men share in common is the acquisition of power. It can be in different amounts or for different reasons. But we all want to have the feeling of knowing that we have power over something. Most of the time it is in the form of money because money is power and vice-versa. If we can establish ourselves in our particular field, profession or whatever we are passionate in this produces the power that we need. What separates men is what we do with the power and how we use it. Most men don’t differentiate where the power comes from meaning whether it is from a positive or negative force. In the world we have created, men, power is everything.

Another aspect of men that we share in common is control. We want to control as much of our life and others as possible. That sounds selfish and irrational but it is in the make-up of men. Think back to our history, men controlled politics, education, and just about every other facet of life. Why else would God be considered a man? Why else would every book in the bible be written by man? It is no coincidence that most of our existence has been controlled by men. It is in our nature to control things but not to be morally irresponsible.

The last and most talked about feature of men is the uncontrollable sex drive. If you are a female then you have dealt with infidelity one way or another. We all have heard that men have two brains, in their penis and in their head. Even though there may be some scientific evidence to this, the most powerful brain is in the head. We all can be faithful but most men make a conscious decision not to. The world is our candy store and we see so much we like. We want a family and one woman that is our queen but some of us struggle with the freedom of single life and the constrictions of a partnership. Plus, the acceptance of men being unfaithful doesn’t help. Over and over men are caught cheating and it is the norm. A real woman can’t alleviate our ways but it still is up to each individual man to gain that understanding.

Men are very simple in their approach to life. We are a lot of things and perfect is not one of them. But women have to understand that the same thing that makes a man great is what makes him flawed. Call it the yin and yang, positive and negative, god and devil whatever the case maybe it is life. And life is about learning and learning from past mistakes. That is how you distinguish great men from mediocre men. Great men continue to learn, advance others and their own life and grow from mistakes. Everybody else stay in a dark crowded room.
