Best Weapon Ever: Ninhoto Katana

An article about the best pre-gunpowder weapon, and best sword ever.

The ninhoto katana (comonly called only katana) is an amazing weapon. It has a record of slicing through 8 prisoners at once in ancient times. also, it is very light because of the carbon, and is made of an interesting steel called tamahagane. The secret to the ninhoto katana’s lightness, dilability, toughness, and sharpness is all in the tamahagane. This is a steel worth more than gold, and is extremely hard to make.

Things Needed

  • about 5 tons of pine charcoal
  • about 3 tons of iron sand
  • a big clay tub (destroyed in end)
  • 72 or more hours

How to Make

  1. first construct the clay tub, about 6*4*12 in dimensions. This takes a while to fire.
  2. then pour in a layer of [pine wood.
  3. light the wood till it is at the perfect temp. (few know this temp)
  4. pile layer after layer of iron sand and pine wood
  5. the wood carbon and iron sand should mix to be smelted as kera
  6. you must separate the high and low carbon steel called kera
  7. you should have a veriety of various-carbonated kera totaling to 2.5 tons, of which even less will be tamahagane
  8. a good smelter must identify the high and poor quality kera. only the high quality kera becomes tamahagane
  9. the remaining high quality tamahagane is then put together to form a stick like object, with the low carbon steel in the middle. This is the base of the ninhoto katana, wich is then hammered, flattened, and hammered again over 16 times to make it tougher.
  10. then it is shaped, and carefully cooled while the edge is covered in clay, ash, and rust.

As you can see, the ninhoto katana is no easy project, and should only be atempted if you have been under apprenticed for over 4 years.
