Bombers and Blimps
by Some information on Bombers and strategic bombing, also some information on Blimps and Zeppelins. This information is related to WWI(Word War One).
Strategic bombing was difficult in WWI because:
-Of the very slow planes.
-Day time was bad because since the planes were slow so the bombers would get shot down.
-Night time was bad because of the darkness.(not enough navigation equipment)
-Bombers used were: The Zepplin, the Sikorski 1M, Caproni(Ca.3 was biplane, Ca. 42 was triplane), Gotha G.V., Airco DH-4, Breguet Br.14B2, Caudron G.4, Caudron R.11, Sikorsky Ilya mourometz V, A-E-G G-IV, Zepplin Staaken R.VI
Blimps used: The Zeppelin, mainly was a bomber and sometimes had machine gun, it was used by the Germans but after time it started to not as effective because it would always get shot down due to its incredible low speed.
