Honoring The Fallen

Remembering Those Who Served Past and Present.

Now with these new wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, I am worried how future generations will receive the veterans of these wars. Will these future veterans be passed over like those who served in Korea or will they be subjugated to verbal assault and social stigma much like the veterans of Vietnam? I do not know as the future has not occurred yet. However with how people are looking at both wars, I can see the very same fates that happened to both Veterans of Korea and Vietnam happening all over again. Now, for the record, I wa never in support for the War in Iraq to begin with, HOWEVER, I hold nothing against the troops who served as they were only doing what they were ordered to do and that was protect the American people. Even if the people did not exactly agree with the war, or why they were fighting to begin with.

Now another side note, this time concerning the recent tragedy at Fort Hood. I find it saddening that these troops were killed by some suicidal coward whom I hold nothing but contempt for in regards to killing a number of priceless people who can NEVER be replaced as their lives and their dreams were taken from them. To the families of this tragedy, I offer you my prayers and my condolences to your loses. These troops who died at Fort Hood deserved much better fates than this.

As for the coward who killed the troops at Fort Hood, I hope to God that this no good coward is given a taste of his own medicine by a well armed firing squad. What he did to these troops should be the punishment this coward should be given as what he did was unexcusable nor was it acceptible to anybody.  I say to the Army, from an aspiring Airman, make this murdering coward an example by tying him to a post and firing away.
