Life and Death: The Ultimate Sacrifice
What people do in these situations.
What sacrifices do we make in a life and death situation? The person who is the most scared can become the one with the most courage. If someone we care about is in danger, most of the time our primal survival insticts kick in and we make instant decisions on how to handle the situation. However, if it’s an innocent or someone we’ve never met, things change and we only worry about ourselves. In very few instances will we find someone to stand up in a severe situation to protect someone they don’t know.
Survival is the one primal instinct that remains with the human race since the dawn of time. We find the easiest and quickest way to survive in these situations, we fight, we run, or we do nothing to provoke the situation any further. It’s self-preservation. Just because a man is scared to fight does not mean he is a coward, it just means his survival instinct is different that the man who will fight. But, it has been proven that if tossed into an intense, yet deadly, situation that 8 out of 10 men will fight off of pure instict.
