Medal of Honor

The Medal Of Honor is the highest medal awarded for valor.

                                         Medal of Honor.

Each citation reads differently. The echoes of each individuals combat action achievements ring clear to those who stand. Valor, total disregard to one self safety, numerously exposing himself to enemy fire. The first award of the Medal of Honor was made May 25,1863 to Private Jacob Parrott. To date the last award of the Medal of Honor was to Sergeant First Class Jarred C. Monti.

There are 3446 reciepients  of  the Medal of Honor of which 91 are still living.

The medal of Honor is the highest award that can be bestowed  for valor in action against enemy forces. This medal is generally presented by the President of the United States.

I have had the pleasure and honor of having served with some of the men who recently have been bestowed the Medal of Honor. They were ordinary people, soldiers, husband and friends. The did their job and they did it well. A few have been interviewed and echoed what there past recipients had said. They were not heroes.Did not do it for the medal and best of all….they wear the medal for those who couldn’t!

I stand, I salute, and I pray for all those who have gone to that point and succeeded. Medal of Honor..Unquestionable Valor.

Theses people are your brother friend and your neighbors. My brother in law received the Purple Heart in World War11, He never talks about it except to say he deserved it no more than his fellow soldiers did.
