Our Brave Soldiers

Dear Lord we come before you today to ask God that you would watch over our troops who put their lives on the line everyday for us.  Keep them protected in the heat of the battlefield and put your arms around them.  Let their training serve them well to keep them alert and alive.  Keep them warm on cold winter nights and let a cool breeze brush over them in the harshness of the summer heat.  Keep their ears wide open that they might hear the enemy as they approach and their sight great and mighty like the eagle.  And Lord when it’s all over and the great fight is done, bring them home safely to their families.  Let their names be remembered in our hearts and our prayers as we come to you Lord asking that you be with them and keep them safe from this day forward, until the day they safely make it home.  And Lord let not the ones we’ve lost, who have sacrificed themselves for us and our freedom be forgotten, but always remembered as great and silent heroes of our lives. We ask this all today Lord in the precious name of Jesus…… Amen
