Samuri vs. Knights

My project on the past.

Knights

A knight is a gentleman soldier or a member of the warrior class in the middle ages in Europe. They were usually of noble birth trained in arms and chivalry.  They were to swear loyalty to the crown. The knights showed up between the 12th and 17th centuries.  They had to be brave horsemen, skilled swordsmen, and ready to throw themselves in battle when needed. Their armor was called platemail.  They wore pieces of armor that protected virtually everything.

Samurai

The samurai started to play an important role in the Japanese society in the 12th century. During the Tokugawa regime they were the highest of all four social classes. The samurai was a term for military nobility in pre-industrial Japan. The sword, or katana, was said to carry the samurai’s soul. A samurais weapon of choice was the yumi or compound bow.
