Should Gay People be in The Military

This is on should gay people be in the military.

Should gay people be allowed to serve in the military? Up to this day, openly gay people were not allowed in the military. This doesn’t mean that there are some gay people who kept it to themselves who served in the military. People are debating over this currently. I think that serving in the military is different than working in a normal job. You have more responsibilities to the public and you’re supposed to do your work in the military rather than focus on your personal issues. This is why you are not obligated to join the army if you don’t want too. You’re not forced to join so if you’re gay then you shouldn’t join and find other jobs that don’t deny you of opportunities.

If you join the military and gain many titles later on, it’s just like a person applying to be an FBI agent or a police man, they will be deny of opportunities if they don’t meet the requirements like having a clean criminal records, strong morals and the intelligence or strength to do their job well. The same applies to being in the military. There are requirements of the applicants and they need to meet them. The military have the right to set requirements since the job is so different than just an office job and the applicant should meet all requirements in order to be admitted. Soldiers hold guns and power to bombs and they can kill people. They need to have the morals or discipline necessary to make the right decisions and to obey as well in the military.

I believe that rebellious individuals will have a hard time in the military since they expect that you follow order really well. However, you have to look at this job differently than any other jobs on Earth. You’re in the military to train and to serve your country one day. You’re not there to build a marriage or build your social life. When you sign on, you sign your life away. You know very well that you will have less of a social life, relationship life than anyone else on Earth, so if you feel the needs to have relationship while you’re serving, you will see that it’s not that easy for you or even feasible since you move around a lot.

Gay individuals can develop relationships while serving and if they break up, it could lead to conflicts with their team while serving. It could make a difference in their power to serve. It could create problems for everyone else. They could shift their focus to serving to dating and it’s not the goal of the military. It’s like signing into a temple to be a nun, but saying that you can’t give up dating and you still want to date. Once you’re in military, you have to commit and it’s not a place where they promote dating and sexual relations and they’re afraid that it will occur more often if gay people are allowed in. when there are sexual relationships on board, it depreciate the value of a soldier and their purpose in the military. I think it’s just a matter of ethics and morals code of the military and if you don’t like, you don’t have to be a soldier. Just like going to a temple, if you still like dating, you should not become a nun.
