Surviving Military Life 4: The Job Market and Stereotypes

The Job Market and Stereotypes.

So, I had my first class chat tonight, I hoping that with the state of the job market and my possible upcoming move that the idea of working on my masters will make me more marketable to companies. Being a military wife you get the stereotype of not being around too long which is a turn off for companies.

It is an unfair judgement since then average person says at a job just as long as you might be at a particular command, but this is how it is. So, you as a military wife need to try to find a way around that. My way is to increase my education so that I am the most qualified candidate and someone they just can’t overlook.

You probably will have you own way of doing things. But my advice is do all you possibly can to make sure that a job can’t possibly pass you by. Make yourself the employee every job wants to have. It will make your life easier and help to diminish the stereotypes in some employers eyes as well

Well Ciao For now!
