The Rise of Indian Army and Its Function
India achieved her Independence through non-violence movement for which even after Independence India made minimum expenditure in defense budget. But after Chinese aggression in 1962 and subsequent Pakistan’s attempt of invasion in 1965 and 1971 apart from the aggression of 1948 in Kashmir, India increased the defense expenditure and to day India is one of the largest Arm Force in Asia.
10. The traumatic impact on the Indian nation and the international community due to the act of Nov 26th attack was hundred times more than that of March 1993 terrorist attack at Mumbai:
The morale strength of India had degraded to the extreme when in 1985 Khalistani terrorists blew up Air India’s Kanishka air craft killing 329 innocent civilians and in 1993 few Muslims recruited by Dawood Ibrahim and trained by ISI of Pakistan, attacked a number of establishments of economic significance in Mumbai killing 257 people. India was puzzled to face the new challenge. But the traumatic impact on the Indian nation and the international community due to the act of Nov 26th attack was hundred times more than that of March 1993 terrorist attack. It was because 1993 attack was over in a couple of hours as if it was in the form of explosions while 2008 attack was in the form of a prolonged battle between some terrorists and NSG. The battle was preceded by nearly an hour of cold-blooded killings in public places such as a railway station, a hospital, and a pub with AK-47 in hand, and continuous attack for three days (26-29) in Taj Hotel, shown by TV viewers of the entire terrorist attack. 2006 had witnessed series of explosions in suburban trains in Mumbai killing 181 innocent people. Similar terrorist strike had happened in Madrid in March 2004 and in London in July 2005. The November terrorist attack in Mumbai was not an act of reprisal terrorism. It was an act of terrorism planned by Pakistani terrorists with the guidance of its intellectuals for a number of strategic purposes. It was for creating nervousness in the minds of businessmen about the security of their lives and property in India, creating doubts in the minds of the Indian public and the international community about the capability of the Indian counter terrorism. The police, the Navy and the Coast Guard have to accept responsibility partly or wholly for failing to act in time. It was undoubtedly a human failure and that the sight of failure was at all levels. The jihadi terrorists took advantage of it to strike at 26th Nov, 2008. Indian authority can not afford such failure in future taking the risk of human life in Indian soil and above all threatening the economy and integrity of the country. [Israeli Assault Rifles]

11. The statement of Ajmal Kasab, the lone terrorist under Indian police custody is the solid evidence that Pakistan is supporting terrorist activity inside India apart from Kashmir.
The devious role played by the ISI and the terrorist groups in full knowledge and cooperation of Pakistani government in the night of 26/11 (2008) at Mumbai as highlighted by the statement of Ajmal Kasab, the lone terrorist under Indian police custody and the record of telephone linkage between terrorist and the leader of terrorist organization by what appears to be solid evidence that Pakistan is supporting terrorist activity inside India apart from Kashmir. Pakistan can rightly be described as a failing state. Its rule of law is divided into legislative wing, military wing and terrorist wing of the country and apparent unity in the rule of law is exhibited by showing enormity with India. Pakistan has militaristic society that has grown tired of its generals playing politics and now instead it had placed a civilian government which appeared to be virtually incapable of tackling the main issues of terrorism inside and outside of Pakistan. If government of Pakistan alone had failed to neutralize its forces of terrorism, Pakistan administration would have taken the help of US and India if Pakistan truly wanted to be freed from this menace. The objective of new President of United State is to eliminate terrorism from the world to ensure the security of America and save the world from the acts of terrorism. It is unlikely that the new US administration would continue to excuse Pakistan’s wanton unwillingness to deal with the rising tide of Islamic extremism and growing trend of training centers of terrorist organization threatening both the integrity of the nation and the stability of an already troubled region. In spite of the preparation of defense of India in all fronts India failed to prevent the terrorist strike at repeated intervals unlike the United States where no second terror strike after 9/11 occurred. 2008 has been vitiated by the strike of terrorists of the Pakistan based Lashkar-e-Tayiba in Mumbai from November 26 to 29, and the serial explosions that preceded it in Jaipur (May), Bengalur (July), Ahmadabad (July) and Delhi (September). Indians faced a worst year 2008.

Great article! It reflects the amount of research and detailing that you have put into it. Also, with the rise of the Indian army there has been a rise in corruption of the ranks and dissatisfaction among the soldiers. Hopefully, like several other things, this will be remedied soon!
