Veterans of Foreign Wars Club House

This just shows that there is a Veterans of Foreign Wars club house in one northern New Mexico snall town. Today’s conflict coupled with all our past ones means it might get crowdier. all over the country. I’m just using it as an example about how small places have supported our nation.

The United States used to draft young men into service whenever some conflict erupted. That means young residents in small towns all over the country were drafted just as quickly as the ones in New York and San Francisco. It’s just that small communities have a lower population than those large cities. That makes drafting just fifteen young men in a small town harshly felt. That is because the low number is a high percentage of the small town’s population. That has forced the Veterans of Foreign Wars club to open club houses in several small towns.

This is one of their club houses in northern New Mexico. It gets by with this small size because the club there isn’t as large as it is in places like Albuquerque. One can go and play pool in it as a guest. That is how it can became familiar with non-club members. While playing pool one might be able to meet members that served in both Korea and Vietnam. Some of them could speak Spanish very fluently. Above all the differences they will all have one thing in common. Just about every veteran was drafted into service and openly risked their life in uniform.

Tourists passing through gets to learn a lot about the small community when they enter one of these clubs. It gives them the Chance to see what service in combat has done to the people who risked their lives.
