Veterans of Foreign Wars Club in a Small Town
This just shows that there is a Veterans of Foreign Wars club house in the small town of Clayton New Mexico. Today’s conflict coupled with all our past ones means the club might expand all over the country. I’m just using Clayton New Mexico as an example.
bbThe United States used to draft young men into service whenever some conflict erupted. That means young residents in small towns all over the country were drafted just as quickly as the ones in New York and San Francisco. It’s just that small communities have a lower population than those large cities mentioned. That makes the drafting of just fifteen young men in a small town really important. That is because the low number is a high percentage of the the small town’s population. That is also why the Veterans of Foreign Wars club has gone ahead and opened club houses in several small towns.

This is their club house in Clayton New Mexico. It gets by with this small size because the club there isn’t as large as it is in places like Albuquerque. One can go and play pool in it as a guest. That is how it became familiar with me. A few of the veterans there served in both Korea and Vietnam. Some of them can speak Spanish very fluently. Over all the differences they all have one thing in common. Just about every veteran in Clayton was drafted into service and openly risked their life in uniform.
With today’s current crisis being solved the way it is the VFW club will get larger in just about every small town across the country. As a veteran it’s easy for me to say I hope they will all make it back to play pool with us. Amen.
