Why Should Women in the Military Engage in Combat?
If you are confused about whether or not military women should be required to fight or not, this might clear things up. Women and men are both equal, so rights and responsibilities go both ways.
Women, who have joined the military, should be required to engage in combat. The Declaration of Independence, Gettysburg Address, and the Constitution, say that people are all equal. Women are always protesting for more rights, so they should also take the consequences. When women join the military, they are informed about combat, so they should be ready to fight for their country.
Being equal is mentioned in many famous documents, proving it’s importance. The Declaration of Independence and the Gettysburg Address state, “that all men are created equal”, and in the U.S. Constitution, the fourteenth amendment is for equal protection clauses. Mankind was all created equal, and that includes whites, blacks, Asians, Hispanics, men, women, EVERYONE. So what does it mean to be equal? To begin with, people should share the same rights and responsibilities to be equal. The Constitution is law, so men and women should both follow it and share the same rights and responsibilities, including combat. If men and women are equal, they should both have to fight.
Women are constantly protesting for more rights. For instance, Susan B. Anthony gave many speeches and did everything she could to promote women’s civil rights. Fourteen years, five months, and five days after she died, women gained the right to vote. Nowadays, women are always saying that they are being treated as inferior if they don’t get everything the men do. However, the fact still stands, if women are going to be like men, all the consequences should apply, not just the advantages. Although it isn’t fair to hire only men for a job a woman is just as capable of completing, it is just as biased towards men if women are able to squirm out of anything unpleasant that might come with the job. The concept we need of rule of law and equality should be clear. Women should have to face the same things men do.
Military work is a choice, not mandatory, so if a woman signs up, she should be expected to do her job. Women are informed about their job when they join the military, so if they don’t want to serve in combat, then they should just stay away from the military altogether. In WWII, women proved that they are as capable as any man to serve in military combat. WASP’s (Women Airforce Service Pilots) did a spectacular job during the war, so there’s no use saying women aren’t fit for the job, they are.
Men and women are equal, so we need to stop pretending women can’t do things they really can, and get them out there alongside the men! Important documents such as the Declaration, Gettysburg Address, and Constitution say we are all equal, and we need to comprehend that. If women are going to ask for privileges, which they have every right to, they need to take all the consequences that come with them. Finally, women should know what is expected of them when they join the military. They can meet the requirements, so they should serve our country too. All these things lead up to the fact that military women should be required to serve in combat like men. Women can make a difference, so we can put them out there to help.

Nicely argued from a philosophical (?) point of view.
However, if I was a front-line infantryman, I would be worried about having a woman in my Unit.
Can she carry the weight of the packs, weapons and other equipment? Could she carry me out of harm’s way if I was wounded? Would she share the same facilities (toilets, bunkrooms)? How does PMS affect her performance?
The ideal place for a woman is in the military is in a submarine … smaller bodies thus easier movement around the confined space, smaller lungs use less air/ oxygen, less body heat given off therefore less cooling needed ….

I love how you act like women are purposely avoiding fighting in combat when there are so many women out there that are fighting for the right to do so. Women are just as capable as men are to be strong and healthy. There are men that are skin and bones and weak just as there are women who are very muscular and capable to do anything a man does.
