Y2k Chapter One Introduction
A fictional account of the activity surrounding Y2K.
Y2K is variously described by people as everything from an essential process to a big farce. I was in the process of program remediation for it from the December of 1996 till May 2000. I was on the email list from the government and personally had contact with Edward Yorden. Ed is one fantastic person who had foresight and courage to buck the system when it wasn’t popular to say there was a problem. Ironically there was a person who saw this threat in the late 1960’s.
The account here has been fictionalized but the person is real, the name has been changed to protect both him and the stupidity that surrounded him. For those who were there and knew him, the names will be obvious.
