The Season of Giving
Here’s a list of great charities I found.
United Way
Since its creation in 1887 United Way has been improving the lives of people everywhere. United Way is National network of over 1,300 local organizations that work to improve people’s lives by focusing on education, income, and health which are the building blocks of a good life. There mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities. When everyone works together in the community we all win.

Everyday young boys and girls are left to look for find there own recreation and companionship on the streets of there communities. The Boys and Girls Club thinks that this should change which is why they offer programs and services to enhance the development of our children. It is important that kids grow up having a sense of usefulness and belonging.

Toys for tots is an organization that collects toys during October, November and December each year to donate to needy kids in the community that would otherwise not receive Christmas gifts. There objective is to play a active role in our children’s lives, and unite people in a common cause. They believe every kid should have should experience the joy of Christmas.

The USO has been responsible for boosting the moral of Americas Armed Forces since 1941. They give prepaid phone cards, care packages, mobile canteens and personal items to our soldiers overseas. They have celebrity entertainment tours that bring the biggest stars to play concerts overseas for out troops. The USO is not a government agency and relies on ordinary people like you to shows the troops that we really do care about them.

I give every year, every time I pass a bell ringer. My boyfriend, who is not from the Unites States did not understand this the first year we were together, now I also have him giving when he passes. Christmas is truly the time for giving and remembering those who are in need. I get such joy when I give!
