Union, Food Service Supplier Sodexo Patch Up Variations

Workers held one-day strike against three Lehigh Valley hospitals last fall.

The Service staff International Union and food service supplier Sodexo Thursday settled a legal dispute concerning union organizing.

Under terms of the settlement, the union agreed to drop its public campaign against the corporate that Sodexo says went on for nearly 2 years. the corporate agreed to look at the rights of Sodexo staff to form “free and informed selections concerning unionization,” the SEIU and Sodexo said in a very statement.

Terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed.

SEIU employees held a one-day strike against Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Sacred Heart and sensible Shepherd hospitals last fall to protest low wages and advantages and anti-unionization pressures.
