What? An Ugly People Association of the World

Health association, Women association, Animal organization etc. are common organization found in different countries and states, but The World Association of Ugly People is certainly bound to make some news.
The World Association of Ugly People, Italy is formed for getting ugly people of society recognized. The motto carried by the association is “A person is what he is and not what he looks like”.
The association was started in 1879, Piobbicao in Italy. In between, it had switched as a marriage agency in 1963 for women and later on came to known as the association for the ugly people. Club consists of 20,000 members and works to fight against partiality done in office and society against ugly people.
The logo of the club bears, wild boar’s head, a man smoking a pipe and a slogan “Ugliness is a virtue, beauty is slavery”.
They also conduct Festival of the Ugly every year in the month of September.

totally weirn, if you joined the group, it means you accept that you’re ugly! that’s not good, people should have self confidence and tell the world that “i am beautiful!”

I agree with Ugly as a very ugly gay man. I run into the same walls encountered by ugly women. Organisations like these are long overdue because we are human beings too and our rights should not be shunted aside simply because of an accident of birth. One day the beautiful will be old and ugly and wrinkly and then they will really find out who their friends are.

TO ALL of you who don’t recognize that ugly people need support, but just need to deny their ugliness, you’re not being fair. Ugly people suffer in this world & need the support of one another. To pretend you’re beautiful is called denial, is false self-esteem and is not helpful at all. I need someone who can identify with the problems I have to face in society as a physically unattractive person. It’s not that I’m shallow, it’s that society in general is very shallow and I have to deal with it. Many ugly people, especially women, are not given the opportunities afforded normal or attractive people, and therefore much talent is wasted because uglies are not given a chance. This produces depression & frustration in the ugly & they need support and friends just like any other discriminated against group. It has been scientifically proven that ugly people are regularly discriminated against. Quit telling them just to get over it & pretend they’re beautiful when they suffer everyday because they’re not!
