Why Pillars?
by This is a description of our toastmasters club… Many have asked about it, so I decided to have it published..

Pillars, this is name of the new Toastmasters Club in Isabel, Leyte Philippines.
Why Pillars?
Ø Pillars, this is a figurative word for leaders.
o We are destined to be future leaders. That is why we need to be equipped with the right tools to become one. Toastmasters Club is one of the best tools we could have.
o Pillars rather than just Pillar, simply because more effective leaders are needed and not just one. It should be ‘WE-kind’ of leaders and not the selfish ‘I-kind’ of leaders!
Ø Another meaning of Pillars is support and cooperation. In order for this club to light the torch up, what we need is support and cooperation. Once we get started, we still need to keep the fire burning. This can be possible only if we give the same support and cooperation from the beginning all the way through.

Interesting the structure layout, so now I get it…where the terminology comes from when they say “PILLARS OF SOCIETY”. Translation the Leaders, and authority figures, ones whom are looked up to because of their abilities and/or resources. *_*
