Youtube is Master of Souls

Keeping a diary has been converted into submitting a Vlog. Writing an angry e-mail to somebody has been replaced with posting a video adressing the matter openly.Apart from keeping a real Vlog, there are also rants, praises, personal lists and tributes on Youtube’s site. Youtube’s servers are filled with personal opinions and messages. With all its entries Youtube can prize itself with being in possesion of thousands of teenage souls.

This makes one wonder, what could Youtube do with all this information? At the moment nothing! The users have already exposed themselves and are aware of their submitted content. There has never been a safer way of placing your trust, than having administrative control over your content. This is something neither the church, nor any other organisation has ever achieved. People can trust Youtube because they control their submissions. In real life you would never be certain where your message might land. But on Youtube you can choose to advertise or hide that message.
