From the time I’m writing this article, there are only five days left before Butcher’s latest novel in the Dresden Files series gets out. Warning: If you haven’t read Changes, please don’t read further. This article contains spoiler material. Let’s look at 10 reasons why fans of the Dresden Files series are excited to read Jim Butcher’s Ghost Story. Of course they all want to know who shot him- That’s a given. I asked this question in the Harry Dresden fanpage. Let’s look at their responses.

1) “I want to read Ghost Story so I can see if my therory is right about who shot Harry, with that being said Fix did it to save Harry from what winter queen would turn him into. Why because Harry secretly asked him to. No way Harry lets himself be taken into a life of Winter service. What’s going to be interesting is when his body drifts to the shores of Demonreach.” ~ Jeffrey L.

2) “I want to read Ghost Story for the same reason most everyone else does: to see what happens. I don’t think it will be the book a new person should jump into the series with. Who did it? Kincaid, just the way he said he could/would do it, but he was indeed hired.” ~ Angelina C.  B

3) “It won’t be kincaid. Why? Because Jim butcher is a good writer. Even a blind man could see it’s kincaid’s style. Jim would never pull a lame move like that. Especially since we’ve got a perfect chance to develop a new threat. Jack made it sound like it was way more than just a hit. And marcone hates Dresden, but he knows what good harry is for him. Never waste a useful tool.” ~ Mark R.

4) “As I said before, every time I read a Dresden File story, there is some sort of lesson to Life I can apply. Sure, if someone that is living the good life tells you “Yeah, the grass is always greener”, you’ll be less likely to accept that. However, if that same guy has faced Werewolves, Vampires, NecroGods, goblins, street gangs, Crime Lords, and a lousey sparse Love Life and told you “Better to be on the Greener grass than the one that looks nuked”… well, I’m sure you’ll see the magic in Life a little more clearer.” ~ Ray O.

It all starts with scaring people and then it takes you to the next level, i like the writing style a lot and that is what keeps you hooked not the stories!
