Astral Plane

Have you had an astral plane experience? It’s a strange event.

Growing up I spent a lot of my teenage years at my father’s house, as my parents divorced when I was 12 years old. My father had a keen interest in the astral plane. This is where your soul leaves the body during sleep or deep relaxation.

You can actually do certain techniques to experience the astral plane phenomenon. Listening to stories from my father gave me an interest in this subject. I would often experiment with suggestions from books on how to travel on the astral plane. I had quite a bit of success with some strange experiences during sleep. During one of these incidents I found myself looking down on my sleeping body, which I found quite frightening and actually remember, thinking how am I going to get back into my body.

Suddenly I woke up with a jerk, the kind of feeling you have when someone startles you. I continued with these experiments for about a year with some amazing results. However in the end I got bored with the subject and stopped my astral plane journeys.

About twenty years later, now with teenage children of my own. One day my daughter returned from school with a computer print out about the Astral Plane. Trawling the web she had come across this subject and became interested in it. I found it quite coincidental, as my father had died suddenly a week earlier. We had often said light-heartedly that when one of us died we would attempt to meet on the astral plane. It is suggested that it is possible to meet deceased loved ones in this way.

I spent several hours discussing what I new about astral projection with my daughter before heading off to the local newsagents. Whilst in the shop my eye was immediately drawn to the magazine section where I could see the words Astral Plane staring back at me. It turned out to be a publication called prediction. Most of the contents were regarding out of body experiences. I purchased it and headed home, where I began reading it. It soon became apparent that the whole contents were either about the astral plane, Pisces and the month of March.

What was extraordinary about this was that my father was born in March and his star sign Pisces. On further inspection of the magazine, I discovered that it was the March issue. However we were now in late September. I decided to return to the shop the next day and see if I could get the September issue. Yet strangely enough when I told the newsagent that I’d purchased an out of date Prediction magazine the day before and did he have Septembers, he responded by saying he didn’t even stock that particular magazine and never has done. He refused to even accept that I’d bought the March issue the previous day. I left the shop more confused than ever.

Was it my father making contact with me? Needless to say the following couple of weeks produced some strange happenings, which I believe must have been the work of my late father.

My son, now deceased (diabetic, passed away in 1994, at 40) was always astral travelling, most of the time with a lady in white that took him to many different places.
There was one thing he told; he said he came across, what he called ‘cables’running from the earth into space that he knew he must go around. I wonder if these are energy lines, communication channels that are visible to the astral traveller?
Hang in there. Don’t forget to come back.

just today i followed steps i read about astral traveling. i did not completely get there but it was weird. it felt like i wasnt breathing, but i didnt have to and i felt sort of a stretching in my body and it felt like i was turning over. i stopped and whene i stood up i felt light and dizzy but the dizziness felt good in a weird way like i was free from an invisible bind. i am a firm believer in this and things like telepathy and telekinesis and other kinesises and im going to keep working at it.

I have done this, countless times. And it does take years of practice to reach any level of mastery. I had to learn it in order to control my nightmares, using a combination of guided meditation and a pass phrase repeated strait up to entering a sleep state I found whenever I was having a nightmare I could regain complete consciousness while still asleep. I call it a “Silver Bullet” system because when I’m conscious in my sleep I seem capable of handling almost any nightmare. While experimenting with my system I accidentally found myself in the presence of my dead fiance I would not recommend such things to the average OBE explorer as I found that while she had the same sense about her that made her seem so alive and made her her she seemed almost hollow to the fact that I was there. I still remember her words: “Why are you here? This is not where you belong” and my reply was “But I miss you so very much…” It was almost as if she was somebody else.

Woah that has not happened to me.
I dreamed about my dad all the time after he died when I was 6.
Young kids sometimes leave thier bodies in sleep more spontaneously, and actually feel it more than some adults. I used to back then… Atleast, it felt like it.

I too learnt dream control due to recurring nightmares about demons at about 18. Eventually I became fully aware in a nightmare and defeated my fear. After this I began to have visions and hear weird noises as I was falling asleep. Then one night I found myself in two places at once and I knew something beyond normal consciousness had occurred in me. I thought at times I might be losing it and it was terrifying to say the least. I discovered classic literature by Robert Munroe and C.W Leadbeater among others which helped me, and I have gone on to have literally hundreds of lucid dreams, astral, and out of body experiences, and can will these experiences to happen as I fall asleep. Some of these experiences have been awesome and some have been spiritual, others weird and spooky, or prophetic. They have given me a totally changed belief system and I now truly know that there are abilities within ALL human beings that most people are completely ASLEEP to. I would recommend that anyone keen to learn these things take it seriously, and that these phenomenon are related to spiritual/energetic development.

If you have ever had that paralysis thing while asleep where you know you are awake but cant move, you are experiencing yourself in your energetic body, not your physical. From here try rolling out of your body, or think of how it feels to move upward quickly like on a show ride or something. If you start to feel like you are shaking violently, your head is in a vice, you are pinned down, experiencing vibrations etc. then you are very close to projecting. The first few times there may be a sound like thunder, or a hammer hitting metal next to your ear, or hissing. It may also all feel very ominous, foreboding. This is all normal, though very odd at the time. Think of it like a radio receiver shifting frequency and the static between the stations. This will drop away and if you are successful, what you experience next may well be the most profound thing that has ever happened to you. Meditation is good for projection, as is awareness.

I have only recently found out about the astral plane and became very interested in it. I’ve tried and tried to find more information on how to enter the astral plane online, but I haven’t learned much about actually GETTING there, only about what HAPPENS there. I have childhood memories of dreams where I remember almost KNOWING what was going to happen in a dream. For example, some of my dreams are both good and bad at the same time. In those dreams, when the dream leans toward its bad side and most people want to wake up, I somehow subconsciously know what is going to happen and the dream suddenly becomes endurable again. In other dreams I remember being a butterfly. In this dream, I had been able to flap my wings and flit around. However, during the dream, I had somehow found it harder to flap and I had to land. This memory of the dream was very short, but I have a feeling that the dream had to have been longer. I can’t help feeling envious of people who can astral project at will, and I have tried several times to astral project. If I could enter the astral plane, I would try to visit loved ones who passed away. I would love a place where I could retreat from the recession and feel truly and utterly FREE….

My first dream i ever remember having in this physical plane of reality was about living, breathing, walking dinosaurs in my front yard outside of my moms bedroom window at our town house. I was maybe about 2 or 3 years of age when this took place. I\’m 22 years old now. The kind of species they were were long necks,(Brachiosaurus). They\’re were plenty more different species but the Brachiosaurus sticks out the most in my memory. It moved about so majestically with such grace and balance. How could a young child see such things at such an early age? Ever since then, profound experiences have played a huge part in my weird, strange, and fascinating life. Dreams have always been with me ever since i can remember and i always knew that there was something more to them than just \”something that happens when you go to sleep\”. I have MORE to share, but i\’m going to keep it short and simple today. I will post more comments. Stay in touch! Peace.

I don’t know why this happens but everytime I try to reach the Astral Plane, I start feeling like
my body is about to fly then suddenly I get a big shock, like someone slapping me in the face. I tried again today and it’s like someone shot me through the head, I feel that and automatically open my eyes which ruins the whole thing. I’ve also had some
lucid dreams about being with my girlfriend, I think that this was an OBE, please tell me, maybe it was just a dream but I went to sleep, woke up and couldn’t move, I looked around and Skulls and pharaos were dancing around my bed, I tried opening my eyes to get out but it did not work, I finally managed to get out of this thing. I’d like to try and reach the astral plane but as I said before there is this “shock” thing stopping me, can anyone give me some advice?
