The one that I would like to share to you is not a mystery. Although, their work seems a mystery on how it greatly affects and influences our life—no one seems to care that they really exists. Who are these powerful beings? We know them by name but do we know them on how they manipulate our mind?

Continued Killing

The sudden increase in shooting rampage and school massacre is unprecedented in the history of the United States. Michael “John” McLendon burned down his mother’s house in Kinston after he killed his family and went on a shooting spree in Geneva County. He ended it when he committed suicide.

Miles from home at Winnenden, South Germany another incident perpetrated by Tim Kretschmer happened. He opened fire on pupils and teachers of his former school, killing 15 people.

It seems that both of them have a troubled mind. What happened to them? Are they gone insane? Did they act alone or there are far stronger forces that are determined to continue these tragic incidents?

They Exist

Do you believe in spirits? According to the Bible one third of angels rebelled against God and were condemned and cast down as fallen angels or demons along with Lucifer (Rev. 12:4). What do you think with their multitude of numbers are doing right here on earth?

They Cause Sickness

Demons by nature are morally wicked. They are unclean evil spirits that brings us illness, affliction and disease (Matthew 10:1). In the Bible, a man who had been mute and blind for some time began to speak and see when a demon was driven out from him by Jesus (Mat 9:33, 12:22). Jesus healed a boy with seizures because the boy too was demon possessed (Mat: 17:15-18). He also cared for the mentally-ill (Luke 8:26-30) and other various diseases (Mat 8:16-17), all blaming to the spirits who controlled them. Notice that oftentimes Jesus mentioned not just one spirit but “spirits” (Mat 8:16). Their name is even called “legion” for if they possessed someone, they possessed in groups (Mark 5:8-10).  

Far from the Bible, demons manifest negative energies to influence us to commit sins or serve as an instrument so that sins can be committed. These negative energies, negative thinking or in other words “pessimistic attitude” usually leads to depression according to Adam Khan at Youmeworks.com.

Depression depletes certain hormones in a human brain slowing down our immune system. For example, when depressed, T cells of our immune system receive negative impulses, which hinder its ability to multiply quickly. NK cells can identify and kill cancer cells but will find it difficult to destroy malignant cells if our human brain signals that we are depressed.

God of this World

Who is the god of this world by the way? According to 2 Corinthians 4:4, the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers. He is the prince of the power of the air (Eph 2:2) and ruler of this world (John 12:31). Satan as god of this world has snared our way of living to his own liking (2 Tim 2:26). The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.

Broadcasting Evil

Notice that God has given Satan authority to do his own works all over the world, but he is not alone! With his minions they have blinded our mind. How? Because he holds the greatest medium of communication here on earth—and that is as an evil DJ piloting his works through spiritual airwaves. Remember that he is the prince of the power of the air. He captured our hearts through constant bombardment of negative impulses either through television, radio, and print. Many have committed rape and murder because when they are young they have seen it in movies, they have heard that many people are committing it or they have read it through pornographic magazines and other publication that promotes violence.

Discerning Good from Bad

One way of freeing ourselves from this constant broadcast of evil is by being aware that they are here, as existing evil entities ready to bend us and destroy us if we will not act to shun from their evil sway of enticement. Yes they do whisper, take note of that. Whatever you think, whatever you do, always be mindful that there are other voices that will murmur behind your ears and minds, suggesting ways on how to harm our own self and/or others, emotionally, spiritually or physically. Sometimes did it occur to your mind when you feel depressed you like to end your life? That’s them working, whispering to you.  

Scale of Influence

As God’s children we still hold the weight on how we are being influenced by these demons. Demonstrating kindness and constantly nourished by the fruits of the Holy Spirit means that the scale indicates we are lighter from sins and no demon can enter our hearts.

Showing cruelty and continuously committing the acts of sinful nature means that the scale indicates we are heavy from sins and legions of demons are within our actual presence misleading our hearts.

The War within You

We as a human must humbly admit that we have a war to wage within in order to survive emotionally, spiritually and physically. We have enemies with one ruthless leader who is the current ruler of this age we belong to. They are only encamped outside our walls, unleashing catapults of negative impulses that bombard us to weaken our morale so that we could give up and surrender our soul.

No matter what happens, always remember that not all of your thinking comes from your mind and heart. Satan and his legion of demons will try everything they can to influence you (like what they are doing right now casting doubt about this work). They will start first from a simple white lie to suggesting you to commit a more heinous crime if you are not aware, cultivating depression that leads to mental illness or sickness. Get out of this world, for this is not God’s world (John 18:36)! Be in command of yourself and resist whatever he is constantly suggesting to you. Discern your thoughts from good and evil. Satan will not sign-off until God’s return. He is hell-bent of unleashing his fury to destroy us, even muttering small words of deception to lead us from breaking one’s family to tearing down of one’s nation. Believe it. It’s true… Demons do whisper…
