Close Encounters of the God Kind: Is There Evidence in the Bible for Encounters with Alien Beings and is God an Alien?
There seems to be ample evidence today, outside of the Bible, to support the theory that there may be alien activity going on in our atmosphere and on earth. We often here stories of sightings of unusual spacecrafts, personal encounters with beings not of earth, crop circles with ancient writings and symbols, some of them in Biblical Hebrew, and archeological evidence that tells us of ancient civilizations that may have obtained knowledge from these other-worldly beings. All this may seem quite implausible to some people, nevertheless, it is commonly reported that astronauts, pilots, and many other ordinary people have sighted unusual occurrences that simply couldn’t be explained today by anything known or unknown, other than alien encounters.

In the beginning of creation, God made heaven and earth. [2] Now the earth had no form, and was empty and the atmosphere was dark. So the Spirit of God flew across the top of the waters, lingering over it… (Genesis 1:1-2)
In the book God Drives a Flying Saucer by R.L. Dione, the author, who claims to have had a personal encounter himself, quotes a written affidavit by one Alexander Hamilton, once a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, which tells of his personal experience with cow-rustling aliens. The author of this book explains much about the technical aspects of possible UFO activity, but stretches much of his theology so far out of proportion with biblical evidence that much of it is at the least unpalatable, and at worst indigestible. A more thorough description of the technical possibilities concerning possible alien spacecrafts can be found in a book by Josef F. Blumrich, The Spaceships of Ezekiel. Blumrich was employed by NASA as an engineer, when he found the description of Ezekiel’s experience in the Bible to be quite intriguing. His book was the result of research into the similarities of the biblical description of a spacecraft and his own knowledge concerning the description and capabilities of some spacecraft models of our time.
So with all these claims of extra-biblical evidence of alien activity, what does the Bible itself actually have to say about the subject? The word alien simply means something foreign to us. In biblical times what was referred to as God, angels, and demons, may be construed today as being alien in nature. Are aliens simply what the biblical writers called God, angels, and demons, and if so, which are good and which are evil and how do we tell the difference? Is there valid evidence in the Bible for encounters with alien beings and possibly even spacecrafts? I think this may be so. Is God what we might today call a Great Mastermind Alien, with superior intelligence and technology? Possibly even so. These are questions that some might ask after reading certain passages from Ezekiel and others in the Bible that may seem to describe an encounter with an alien or aliens. Ezekiel describes the glory of God in such detail that one can’t help but recognize the resemblance to what people today might believe to be UFO and alien activity. The following excerpts from Ezekiel 1:1 – 3:23 describe two personal encounters with what I will call an Alien God and are most revealing, when read with an open mind.

The people off the earth need to be culled,He has done it once before and he will do it again, be it by earthquakes or floods, he will not do it by man as man only destroys what is good.If you have slugs and catapillers in your green house , would you not want to kill these to save your hard work,

To all my Readers.
I discovered last night that on several of my writings on Triond, there were links to inappropriate articles. Some ads were questionable as well. I apologize for this, as I had no idea these links were on my writings because I usually just go to my editing page, which doesn’t show all those links and ads. I will be soon removing my writings from this account and would like to invite you to follow my writing on my new website, which doesn’t have any ads and I have more control over links put on it. My new website is http://gofishministries.wordpress.com/ if you would like to continue following my writings. God bless and go fish 4 Jesus!
