Could Ghosts or Lost Souls be Haunting a State Park? Proof Story 1

by Dr.O in Paranormal, May 20, 2009

Odd yet mysterious happenings seem to be taking place during an annual family camping trip to Miles Standish State Park.

My mother, cousin, mom’s 2 friends, and brother take a yearly trip to Miles Standish State Park and we do enjoy the excellent camping grounds. Although ghostly, paranormal things have a tendency of occurring.

The first year camping, my mom’s friend took my cousin, brother and myself to explore what seems to be a brick chimney with architecture much like that of a pioneer style chimney. In fact 2 of these chimneys are within close proximity and are perched on a hill in a wooded area, in close range of the swimming lake and can be viewed from an angle. My mother’s friend was talking about ” if you touch the bricks you are haunted ” , I did feel rather doubt full about this factor but I didn’t say anything. When we took a picture in front of the chimney we all accidentally leaned against it, forgetting momentarily that the bricks were supposedly cursed. As we started making our way home we turned around to see written clearly in the pines our names. Feeling like this was a hoax I got a bit frustrated at my mom’s friend thinking she wanted to scare us. When we returned to the campsite, I viewed the photo and saw upset face in the bricks above my head. Viewing more pictures my mother took at the campsite, some pictures portrayed moving white like transparent figures gliding on the edge of the woods in the back round. I still have more stories and experiences to tell but right now I do believe in the paranormal but I try not to think about it because it scares me. After the 1st camping trip I had figured out why my mother didn’t want to go exploring the odd structures. The reason being was that in the various lakes inside the national state park, the largest one is home to a small island that houses a jail for murders and such. And in the 1940’s a lady was killed on the bike path because a man had escaped and swam across the lake. I don’t have a specific reason why the man killed her, he probably felt pleasure in doing so.
