Crop Circles

Human prank or Alien occurrence?

Since then, hundreds have taken inspiration and started a worldwide interest in man-made crop circle formations. Contests have sprung up in order to determine the best crop circle designs. The website, circlemakers.org, was created in light of this growing number of crop circle-making enthusiasts. Large corporations also jumped on the bandwagon, hiring circlemakers.org to advertise their services by creating crop circle formations flaunting company logos.

In light of the growing number of man-made circles, the supporters of paranormal phenomenon still stand by their belief that some of the circles are alien in origin. The leading argument stands that the pair Bower and Chorley could not have managed to produce all the circles, some appearing internationally, that have occurred prior to their media coverage. Also, some attributes have been found in some circles that are not present in man-made ones namely: elongated stem-nodes, expulsed stem cavities, and the presence of magnetized iron spheres distributed linearly around the area. Although a team of scientists have successfully recreated to an extent the above attributes using current technology, it’s still argued that such technology could not have been present in the past decades when some of these circles have occurred. Research has been conducted in England to determine whether the circles there are man-made, and the final output has determined that 80% of the crop circles are man-made due to visible traces of human activity around it, and 20% apparently do not contain any signs of human involvement. Circles found near sacred sites such as Stonehenge, Tumulus, and the hill figures in the United Kingdom have inspired beliefs that the crop circles give off energy and can be used as a means of being contacted, and contacting, otherworldly beings.

The debate still stands today, with neither side the conclusive victor. The important thing, though, regardless of the origin of the circles, is that they represent a facet of the ever-changing richness of the world we live in. The crop circles display the dynamic truth of reality, never the same, never in stasis. Whether it inspires the soul of so many believers knowing that there are other forces in the universe, or whether it serves as means of expression in so many hearts craving for an ideal form in which to display their longings, crop circles have been a blessing in disguise for both sides, united in the same playing field.

Interesting article. One thing however not all crop circles are complex geometric patterns. Some are more simplistic like this one here http://hornydevil666.deviantart.com/art/Crop-Circle-131875469 and also I am certain that this was NOT man made as there are no tracks leading into or out of the field.

Awesome. Nice to see a picture of a crop circle taken from the the ground and not in the air. As to the origin, it could have been made by man days before and the tracks have already disappeared by then, or something else unexplainable. The more simple the circle, the more paranormal I seem to feel about it. This this go into the news media?

thenextnoel. I know for a fact this was not made days before as i go past it every day and it appeared there over night. As for the news media I did email the picture to some news channels but they haven’t even replied. Like most people they probably think it’s a fake
