Do You Believe in Ghosts?

Do you believe in ghosts? I never thought I would, that is until I saw him. It started when my husband and I moved into a rent house. It was early one morning and we were both on the couch. We heard a loud bang in the kitchen so we went to check it out. Pictures were off the wall and completely on the other side of the room. Over the next few weeks, we continued to hear doors open and close, appliances turning on and off, and things sliding around the room. None of this bothered us too much, but did have us on our toes.

The first time I actually saw Hank, our nickname for our guest, I was alone. When I walked into the dark kitchen I could see a tall, dark shadow in the form of a man. For a second I almost thought there was actually someone in the house, but soon realized I could see the light on the coffee pot right thru him! Being scared, I grabbed my purse and shoes and flew out the door. I spent the day walking around Wal-Mart waiting for my husband to get home.

We have lived here several months now, and we have seen him many times. He walks from room to room and sometimes just stands around. He likes to move things. He has stacked toilet paper rolls in weird ways, and he pulls covers off the beds almost as soon as they are made. He relocates keys, shoes, and cigarette packs.

For the most part, these things usually happen without a witness. However, one night we did catch him moving things while we were taking videos. He would slide a coke can across the floor. It happened several times right in front of both of us and the camera. He has spoken our names and we have felt him touch us when he passed by. There is no doubt for anyone who has seen him that he is definitely a ghost of some kind. Many of our friends will not return to our home after seeing him.

Although Hank has never done anything to make us think he is bad or evil, we have considered calling a priest or some kind of ghost hunters, but for now we have decided not too. We are afraid of upsetting him or attracting anything else.

I never thought I would believe in this sort of thing, but some times you just have to see for yourself. You can say you don’t believe in ghosts, but when or if you see it with your own eyes, you will know there really might be some things that are just unexplainable and maybe even supernatural.
