Hotel Del Coronado

As legend goes; the spirit that haunts Hotel Del Coronado is that of late Kate Morgan. In 1892 she had checked into this hotel in order to meet her estranged husband. For days she waited, but he never showed up. She was found dead on the beach from a gunshot wound. It’s believed that her lonely spirit remains in the hotel. Morgan’s room, 3502, is the most haunted room throughout the hotel, as paranormal experts found well over 30 abnormalities in one day.

Carolina Inn

The hauntings within this Inn are not localized to a particular room or floor. Indeed the second floor has more paranormal action, but hauntings are seen or experienced throughout the building. Some guests experienced a man following them and when they turn to face him, he disappears. Other incidences the staff and guests have noticed a larger, heavy set man wearing a black suit, a knit hat, a blue parker style coat, wandering the halls checking for an open door. The ghost moves up and down the halls from room to room, jiggling the door handles trying to get in. Daily, the staff and guests report this strange occurrence. Some guests even opened the door and as they did, they saw him flee. When the staff investigated the issues, they are unable to find anyone in the hotel matching the description.

An amateur ghost hunter even witnessed a bloody hand crawling under the bed sheets. There have been many paranormal investigations at this hotel, documenting extraordinary things. There seems to be around 20 ghosts that haunt this inn. They have documented many sounds such as words being softly spoken, piano notes, and orb-like objects floating about.

One of the ghosts is believed to be Dr. William Jacocks. He lived at the Inn for over 20 years. Those who stay in his room on the 2nd floor find themselves often locked out. There have been times that the door would not open so the staff had to remove it from the hinges.
