How Exactly, Would We Handle an Extraterrestrial Encounter? Part 1
Men in black, mars attacks, district nine, and so many other movies have one thing in common. Alien encounters. But we all know that what Hollywood shows us is not what we are actually going to experience, so now the question remains to be answered, but as always, I have my theories.
Theory 1 : A peaceful encounter -
Now, as movies go , a peaceful solution probably means , well , this.
But that does not completely rule out the fact that we may be able to co-exist with extraterrestrial life if we do encounter it.But in trying to do so , we put ourselves at risk for a plan that has more chance of failing than succeeding.
Why? The answer need not be hypothesized because the human race has its own unique way of handling beings that are different from each other , be it within our own species or others.

Yeah , quite diplomatic indeed.
Language is a pretty big issue too. We assume the aliens to be able to read simple optic messages , symbols and signs but the cruel reality is , imagination is the limit. Who says aliens need any optic receptors at all? they may be able to communicate through thought itself! or maybe relay messages through organic impulses , very much like the way we text each other messages using cell phones. As I said before, imagination is the limit.

there’s also a chance that we mistake their appearance for hostile.

Can we be blamed? no, blame Hollywood.
Theory 2 : Hidden invasion-

Who says aliens need to be towering monoliths of epic destructive capabilities like in “war of the worlds”. They could attack us on the microscopic level. They could invade us just by an inhale and they could spread as easy as a yawn. If this happens , our only choice would be to poison our own life giving air in hopes to destroy them before they destroy us , as negotiations are neigh on impossible with a creature you cant see , much less communicate with .
Theory 3 : Complete assimilation-

We have all heard of alien abductions. Not even one of them are true mind you but what if they where? We take animals from the wild as easily as we take in breaths of air , and whos stopping some higher being from doing the same , only their definition of “animals” is a bit more steep then ours, to put it lightly. Would they study us , or do something even more sinister , try to clone us , or make us alien pollinators to put it lightly. You get the picture. Then what would we do? shoot someone because we “think” their alien ? yeah right.
Theory 5 : Complete and utter destruction-
Who hasn’t seen an alien horror flick these days, but for the sole purpose of appeasing a movie audience , every film has a happy ending where the human race is victorious in one way or the other , with maybe a few exceptions like district 9 , but in a sense , a human was helping them , and the audience was made to feel the pain of the aliens , but this is all besides the point. There is no such thing as a happy ending , in the book of life. Thats reality , and we need to face up to that fact.
To put it simply , well ,

Yeah , you get the picture.
We could be here one day , and gone the next , and we wouldnt even be able to yell : ” thats not fair!!!! ” because , well , our atoms would be scattered across the cosmos.

Don’t look at me!! I just supply the theories!
On reading this , you probably took me as some sort of fanatic in this matter , but no. I just enjoy musing on different subjects and I just happened to have chosen this one. So I hope that you have enjoyed this little article and know that part 2 is on the way.
Thank you for reading and one last question , what would life be like if aliens had taken over?

Then again, its just a theory.
Thanks again , and have a great day.

Thought provoking!
Yeah, Hollywood’s make on aliens is always a little too one-dimensional—in that they’re alway just a strangly coloured squiggly form of a human-being, that travels light-years to earth and strangely speak English, with an American accent. I think life from out there in some completely different form, one beyond our comprehension, is perfectly viable.
