Inside a Sealed Coffin
An escapologist, Aron Houdini, spent 79 minutes inside a sealed coffin.
In May 2005 in Louisville, Kentucky, escapologist Aron Houdini (his legal name) spent an amazing 79 minutes inside a sealed coffin with no air. He was handcuffed, leg-cuffed, and chained inside the coffin. Having had so many adventures as an escapologist, Houdini admitted he was freaked out when he was sealed inside a coffin. Imagine if you were inside that coffin, handcuffed and all!
“I freaked out at first,” admitted Houdini, who was able to communicate with his crew by way of a radio from inside the wooden box. “However, once I got my mind under control, I started what I had been practicing for almost a year. I slowed down my metabolism and then I concentrated on resting my entire body.”
