Living with Spirits

Over 50% of Americans believe in ghosts and poltergeist. Supernatural phenomenon has been documented almost everywhere, but some choose not to believe. Me…I have no choice but too.

Ever since I was five, strange, unexplainable things have happened. Everything from chilling laughter coming from empty rooms to lights being seen in dark room that go away after five seconds. It is hard to get anyone that doesn’t have an opened mind to believe such a tale, and this haunting is made even harder by the fact that these spirits only seem to reveal themselves to the females of the family. My mom and sister-in-law believe, but my brother and dad do not.

Many try exorcisms, so my sister-in-law and I tried it as well. We went and prayed in each room. The first few rooms, like the living room and my parent’s room, went smoothly. No supernatural phenomenon happened, but then, when my sister-in-law opened the closet door in my room and started praying, the bright, sunny day turned unusually cloudy. It became so dark that it looked like night time and my sister-in-law and me both saw shadows moving along the walls that swooped past her and disappeared. There was a brief hiss of sound, then it became sunny again.

Moving along to my brother’s room, we once again encountered spiritual activity. I could not even enter the room and was pushed back, becoming very nauseated and feeling short of breath, while my sister-in-law prayed. Next thing we know, a shadow being with glowing eyes that looks to be part of the shadows itself comes up behind me and tries to choke me! At this time, my sister-in-law took over while I went outside to catch my breath and, after finishing, came back out and we went back to her house.

Lost more things happened after that. I once was taking a shower and the lights started dimming for no reason and I heard a little girl’s singing, then saw shadows and heard growling. The exorcism had only helped a few spirits to the other side, not all as hoped. Today, I still see shadows and am called crazy when I tell these things to others. Seeing people that disappear in an instant would make anyone, even yourself, think you were crazy. Visions of horrible murders and past events come to me, even though I would rather they not. Living with ghosts in your house may sound fun at first, but after you have experienced it once, you usually just wish it would all go away.
