London: Haunted Tower

The Tower of London seems to have a reputation as one of the most historically haunted areas in this great city of the world.
Even here in America it has no shortcomings of ghosts.
Haunted for its past of murder, torture and hangings not to mention being hung, drawn quartered The Tower of London holds quite a list of nortorious and memorable characters from the past.
First built not too long after William the Congueror became the King of England sometime after 1066. This king build the first stone building around 1078 and it was finished in 1097.
Many of its famous ghosts have been sighted here. Some you will recognize and some you may have to look up.
Some of the most famous who walk this historical sight are:
Thomas A. Becket and documetned as the first apparition seen.

Lady Jane Grey appears (A queen for about nine days.) on her death which is February 12, 1554.

Queen Anne Boleyn (One of Henry the VIII famous wives.) beheaded for adultry. Spotted occaisonally from time to time.
Lady Salisbury’s ghost is considered the most gruesome execution. It was bungled because she refused to be executed. She ran around the courtyard and her executioner gave chase and hacked her to death from behind. They say she may have been innocent.
The two young princes who were probably a threat to the Duke of Gloucesterhsire who was next in line. They were Edward V (aged 12) and Richard Duke of York (aged 10).
A workman found their a box containing their skeletons around 1674 and subsequently given a royal burial.

Sir Walter Raleigh’s ghost also shows up around the building.

If you visit and are lucky you may encounter these famous apparitions, the famous Guy Fawkes and the Lord Northumberland.
