Nostradamus: Gone But Not Forgotten
An overview on the life and prophecies of Nostradamus.
There have been many prophecies throughout time. Prophecies are visions that people with special abilities have that enable them see into the future. These people are called prophets. There has been plenty of disagreement that surrounds prophecies and their meanings. Nostradamus is one of those prophets whose visions of the future were controversial. Michel Nostradamus was a learned man. He became interested in medicine at age twenty-two and got his Doctor’s degree at age twenty-six. He could speak many languages, including Greek, Latin and Hebrew. He was also interested in astrology.
Nostradamus was born December 14, 1503 in the town of St. Remy, in Provence. He died in 1566 at the age of sixty-two. He was a quiet and generous man. He had a jovial sense of humor and was more thoughtful than outspoken. He believed in freedom of speech and practiced it often. Nostradamus was Catholic in faith and had strong religious beliefs. His generosity did not stop with family and friends. He was generous to the poor and gave often to charities. Nostradamus was a highly respected man.
Nostradamus was one of three children, all brothers. He had six children, three sons and three daughters. His oldest son, Cesar, was also a writer. He, like his father, had a taste for foretelling of the future. His book was printed in 1614. Cesar lived to be seventy-four years old. He was born in 1555 and died in 1629. Another son, Charles, was a writer of poetry, some of which are still in print.
It’s not clear as to why Nostradamus died at such an early year, but it is said that he predicted his own death. He did not begin the writings of the Propheties until he was fifty-one years of age. At the age of fifty-two, Nostradamus published his first book amidst accusations that he was in a treaty with the devil and practiced magic. Despite the claims of the people, he had friends and followers that believed he had the gift supernatural. He was deemed an imposter and a fake by those who knew only his name, not his person.
Nostradamus spent his last years writing and studying the stars and planets. He became addicted to astrology. He felt as though astrology and medicine went hand in hand together. He certainly had connections to the unseen world of spirit and magic. The knowledge Michel Nostradamus held could not have come from the mortal world. His faith and closeness of spirituality assured him of his visions. There are those that scoff at the possibility of seeing into the future. That is their privilege. There are many who have seen a glimpse of what is to come. There are also many who refuse to see the truth, even when it’s right there for them to see.

Thanks for the info. I have also been interested in Nostradamus, some say it’s just a coincidence, but seems to be too accurate and similar in too many areas to just be a coincidence.
Thanks for all the good info and sharing with us.
Keep up the GREAT work.
